On August 31, 2024, a grand festival was held in London to commemorate Srila Prabhupad’s 150th Advent. The celebration began with a Nagar Sankirtan procession that started at Sri Ram Mandir, 22 King Street, South Hall, at 1 PM. Over 300 devotees, led by Srila Guru Goswami Thakur (HDG BS Sannyasi Maharaj), filled the streets with the spiritual sounds of Harikirtan, as the procession made its way to the Harrow Leisure Centre Hall.

From 3 PM to 8 PM, the Sanatan Sanskriti Utsav was held, attracting thousands of devotees. The program opened with Jayabandana and soulful Mahajan Padavali kirtanas. Several prominent personalities were present, including Sri Srimad Bhaktibibudh Bodhyan Maharaj (Acharya of Sri Gopinath Gaudiya Math), Sri Srimad Bhaktivichar Vishnu Maharaj (Acharya of Sri Chaitanya Gaudiya Math), Sripad Bhakti Pramod Puri Maharaj (Secretary of Gaudiya Mission), and Sripad Bhakti Baibhava Paryatak Maharaj (Incharge of Mumbai Gaudiya Math).

The event was also graced by Local Mayor Mr. Salim Choudhary as the chief guest, with local MP Black Men Bob chanting Srila Prabhupad’s glory in a unique and heartfelt manner. A cultural program followed, where Rabindra Bharati University teacher Dr. Mahua Mukherjee and her group performed a traditional Gaudiya dance to the Srila Prabhupad Ashtakam, composed by Srila Sridhar Dev Maharaj.

The evening continued with a mesmerizing Srila Prabhupad Vandana chanted by Dr. Hare Krishna Haldar, a professor from Rabindra Bharati, accompanied by the rhythmic beats of Mridangas. The festivities concluded with a captivating drama performance organized by ISKCON London. The entire celebration wrapped up with an exuberant Mahamantra Kirtan dance and the distribution of Mahaprasadam, marking the successful conclusion of this divine occasion.
